    Interview Summary
    Naomi Taub, born July 20, 1925, discusses her childhood in Plonsk, Poland; her rural family life; her education; the antisemitism she and her family experienced before the war; life in the ghetto in Plonsk; being deported with her mother to Auschwitz; being separated from her mother during the initial selection and her attempts to join her mother, who was killed soon after arrival; her experiences in Auschwitz, the conditions there, and the work she performed separating the clothes and shoes of newly-arrived prisoners; being liberated in 1945; returning to Plonsk after the war ended; her decision to go to a displaced persons camp in Germany; her wedding in the DP camp; immigrating with her husband to the United States in 1949; the grief she feels for her lost family members; and her gratitude for her life and her husband and children.
