    Physical Description
Postage stamp made of paper, rectangular in shape with scalloped edges and approximately 1 1/16 inches (2.6 cm) tall by 7/8 in (2.2 cm) wide in size. An inked rectangle with white image and inscription is found on one side. The ink is purple in color and the inked rectangle is smaller in size than the paper itself leaving an ink free boarder around the edge. The inked image has a musical horn in the center directly surrounded by a solid purple diamond shape. The diamond is surrounded by an oval decorated with wavy lines which follow the path of the oval. A second oval is around the previous. This oval is solid purple but contains “Deutsches Reich” along the top and “Mark” along the bottom. Triangles decorated with a similar wavy line pattern as the inner oval extend from the outer oval into the corners of the inked rectangle. Also found inside each of these triangles is a white number “2” within a solid purple circle. A small triangle extends from the top, bottom, right and left of the outer oval and between the corner triangles. This entire image in contained within a thin purple line that creates the rectangle. Adhesive is found on the other side. The image from the other side is faintly seen in reverse on adhesive side. On the image side of the postage stamp, black ink splotches are found on the top and bottom left corners and the black ink bleeds through to the back, adhesive side of the stamp.
