    Description
    Consists of pre-war and post-war (1930's-1950's) documents, photographs, a photograph album, and correspondence pertaining to Henri Moskow and his family. The collection includes pre-war family photographs, documents, and correspondence attesting to his resistance activities in France.

    Biography
    Henri Moskow was born in Paris, France on April 13, 1915. He was drafted into the French Air Force during World War II. Henri was captured and held by the Germans from 1939-1940 in Germany, but escaped and fled back to France. He joined the underground Jewish Resistance Movement and flew Jewish orphans out of occupied France territory. In May 1943, Henri was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to Drancy internment camp. On July 31, 1943 Henri was deported to Auschwitz concentration camp where he later perished.

    Janine Storch (born Tchoudnovsky) donated her cousin's collection (Henri Moskow) to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Janine's mother, Pauline (born Goldman) Tchoudnovsky and Henri's father, Leon Moskow were brother and sister.
