The memoir, "Between life and death," describes Sonja Haid Greene's pre-Holocaust youth with her family in Siauliai, Lithuania, her stay in the Traku ghetto, time spent in a concentration camp called Linkaich, being an inmate of the Nazi concentration camps of Stutthof and a subcamp of Dachau, suffering on a death march, and her liberation by American troops.
