    Interview Summary
    Felice Massie describes her childhood in Szczuczyn, Poland; her time in medical school in France; the antisemitism she experienced there; her three years living in Israel from 1935-3938; her immigration to the United States in 1938; her experiences as an immigrant in the United States in the 1930s and 1940s; the fates of her family members in Poland; the letters she recieved from relatives in Poland; her guilt and grief surrounding her survival; and its effect on her children.

    The Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project conducted the interview with Felice Massie on July 3, 1996. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the tapes of the interview from the Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project in December 2001.
