    Overview

    Interview Summary
    The interview describes Ms. Reicheck's childhood living with her grandparents in central France; her grandfather's socialist political convictions; and his work fighting the Nazi occupying forces, including forging identification papers and sheltering Jews, Roma and other victims of the Nazi regime in his family home. Ms. Reichek describes her grandfather's death at the hands of the Nazis, her reunion with her father who had been fighting in Indochina, and her immigration to the United States in 1951.
