    Description
    Sailboats, steamboats, kayaks on river. Man with an injury walks with a cane, observes activities on the river from porch and beach. MS, group of young friends, sitting on bench, with tea and cookies, dog. Building with sign in German (illegible). Crew teams practice. Sailing (filmed from boat). Group gathers on land, some in Nazi uniform. Young woman plays with a sheep. 10:06:02 Woman in patterned dress and pearls on a balcony. Young man in uniform. Nurse. Young injured German in uniform and cap walks with cane (possibly in late fall). 10:07:45 Man with cane walks with girlfriend (he appears to be healing, the flowers are in bloom). They take turns swinging. 10:09:14 Resting. 10:09:26 Boating on river, CUs of young men sailing, ropes.

    10:10:32 Group of children. Buggy with bride & groom (same couple seen earlier?) arrive in town. He is in uniform. They pose with the wedding party (these men also in Nazi uniform) in front of the church. They depart in the wedding carriage. More shots of the guests, and the happy couple.

    Film Provenance
    Karl Hoeffkes has collected over 2,000 hours of rare original film material documenting the period from 1925 to 1946. The collection consists of mostly amateur footage in both black and white and color that focuses on Europe during the pre-war and mid-war periods. The United States Holocaut Memorial Museum entered a cooperative agreement with Agentur Karl Hoeffkes in April 2015 which enables the Museum to provide access to the entire AKH archive and use the material for future exhibitions, research and scientific purposes, and publications.
