    Interview Summary
    A Belarusian woman, born in 1924, discusses her experiences in Zhirovichi (Grodno Oblast), Belarus before and during WWII; the few Jews in Zhirovichi before the war and the influx of Jewish refugees in 1939; the German occupation of Grodno Oblast; the German administration which had its headquarters in a former hospital; the gathering of all the locals in the town square, where they were separated by nationality; the Germans taking the Jews away; the mass murders; the ghetto in Slonim, Belarus; being taken to Stedten, Germany as a forced laborer in 1943; being transferred to a camp in Norway; and being liberated by American troops.
