- Summary
- Two groups of 10-18 year-old students, one from the U.S. and the other from Germany, jointly visit the Auschwitz Concentration Camp memorial. At the camp they stage Anna Smulowitz's play, "Terezin-Children of the Holocaust," which deals with the author's parents' experience as Auschwitz survivors. The students become aware of the differences between themselves, their countries, cultures and history. But there are common experiences during the journey that bring them closer together.
