    Description
    Consists of a bulletin from the Łódź ghetto, Bekanntmachung Nr. 428. This announcement declares the reduction of the ghetto area, and that Jews must be cleared out of the closed area by 7am, August 25th. Anyone who remains in the closed area will be punished with death. The only places remaining in the closed area include plants housed in barracks, hospitals, the Central Prison, and the 4th Order Service Department in Marysin. (The Jewish Police – Order Service [Ordungsdienst]). It was issued by the Secret State Police after transports to Auschwitz-Birkenau had begun on August 9th, and days before Chaim Rumkowski and his family were deported to Auschwitz.
