    USHMM Copy 2 was donated to the USHMM Library in December 2012, by Cantor Alan Kritz, who received it from its original owner, Dr. Ernest Picard. Dr. Picard was a child in Mainz, Germany, in 1936, when he received it as a gift from his grandparents Hedwig (Hausmann) and Hermann Picard, who lived in Lauterbourg, France.
