Overview
- Summary
- Aranka is a Holocaust survivor who has dementia. Many years before thei insidious disease began to eat away at her memory, she documented her experiences and the horrors she endured at the hands of the Nazis. Aranka met her husband Josef in a concentration camp, separated by a barbed wire fence and without the aid of a common language. They fell in love and gave each other the strength and will to survive. Their story is told through a journey of rediscovery by their son, Steven, taking the viewer to the ghettos, concentration camps and slave labor factories as they are today, unearthing the horrendous occurrences long since buried there." - container jacket.
