    Summary
    Set in WWII Germany. On the outskirts of a town in the Bavarian Alps in 1936, Mark Preysing becomes acquainted with Countess Ruby Von Treck. Mark is an American looking for his German mother, Emily Ritter, a dissident former actress who has mysteriously disappeared.
