    Making/History: The Wooden Synagogue Replication Project, later re-named the Gwoździec re!construction project was a cooperative effort between Handshouse Studio, the Association of the Jewish Historial Institute of Poland, and POLIN Museum. In thirteen educational workshops in nine Polish cities over three summers in 2011, 2012, and 2013, students worked with historians, architects, artisans, and artists to construct a replica of the roof and painted interior cupola of the Gwoździec synagogue for exhibition at POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
