Summary: Follows filmmaker Eileen Douglas's search to find her grandfather's house in Kovno, Lithuania, which he left behind in 1911 at the age of 16 when he fled to America to escape the Tsar's Army. Weaving together original footage, old photographs, archival records, old Yiddish letters, archival film footage, family reminiscences and interviews, she attempts to discover where it all began.
