The book is the first of its kind to deconstruct the dominant narrative of the circumstances leading up to, and during, the period defined as the Rwandan genocide, highlighting the suppression of evidence that runs contrary to the dominant narrative. It controversially questions the accepted wisdom of the events using a revisionist interrogation of the evidence, aiming to provide the most robust and academically credible investigation on the issue of the Rwandan genocide through an interrogation of all the claims made to support the genocide thesis. The author adopts a logical-historical approach which aims to situate the killings within a historically-specific context, drawing out a dynamic interplay between national and international actors to provide the most empirically detailed and forthright investigation of the butchery of Rwanda's Tutsis, and the perpetrators. 591 Record updated by Marcive processing 21 June 2024 651 0 Rwanda |xHistory |yCivil War, 1994 |xAtrocities. 650 0 Genocide |zRwanda |xHistory |y20th century. 611 27 Civil War (Rwanda : 1994) |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01352318 650 7 Atrocities. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00820727 650 7 Genocide. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00940208 651 7 Rwanda. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01212358 650 7 Rwanda |xVölkermord. |2gnd |0(DE-588)4360701-9 648 7 1900 - 1999 |2fast 655 7 History. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01411628 830 0 Rethinking political violence. 852 0 |bstacks |hDT450.435 |i.C643 2014
