    Overview

    Summary
The film portrays the fate of two Jewish families from Göttingen in the 1930s. The Katz and Silbergleit families were shop owners in the center of the city. After Hitler came to power their businesses were looted and they were forced to sell them for a fraction of their value. Their children escaped to the United States. Now elderly, they remember their lives in Gottingen and talk about their attempts to save their parents.
