520     In the realm of theatre literature there are a number of plays which deal with the subject of the Holocaust. One of these works is Celeste Raspanti's one-act, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, which presents the story of the Jewish ghetto of Terezin and the people who lived there between the years 1942 and 1944. This thesis is a record of a particular production of this play which was directed by this graduate student. It is intended to provide the reader with a sense of what occurred during the directing process as well as furnish information on Terezin itself. It is hoped that this thesis will serve as a source for both those considering production of this play and those interested in the ghetto of Terezin.
