Joel ben Simeon (active c. 1440s - c. 1490) is one of the most famous figures in late medieval Hebrew manuscript production. Born in Germany, he spent most of his career in northern Italy as an itinerant craftsman. Previously unrecorded in the extensive literature on Joel ben Simeon, the present manuscript includes the earliest known copy of this version of the Sefer Minhagim, written in 1449/1450, and more than 500 pen and ink drawings added by Joel around 1470, thus significantly increasing the artist's corpus"--Cover. 591 Record updated by Marcive processing 21 June 2024 600 00 Joel ben Simeon, |dactive 15th century. 650 0 Scribes, Jewish |vBiography. 650 0 Haggadot |vTexts. 650 0 Seder |xLiturgy |vTexts. 650 0 Jewish illumination of books and manuscripts. 600 07 Joel ben Simeon, |dactive 15th century. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01827197 650 7 Haggadot. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00950223 650 7 Jewish illumination of books and manuscripts. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01730505 650 7 Scribes, Jewish. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01109395 650 7 Seder |xLiturgy. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01110935 600 07 |0(FrPBN)15087870Ywʼel ben Šimʿwn, |d14..-15.. |2ram 650 7 |0(FrPBN)11969461Enluminure juive. |2ram 650 7 |0(FrPBN)11959198Manuscrits hébreux. |2ram 655 7 Biographies. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01919896 655 7 Facsimiles. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01411642 655 7 Illustrated works. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01423873 655 7 Sacred works. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01923249 655 7 Texts. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01423705 655 7 Facsimiles. |2lcgft 655 7 Illustrated works. |2lcgft 655 7 Sacred works. |2lcgft 655 7 Biographies. |2lcgft 700 1 Mintz, Sharon Liberman, |eauthor. 700 1 Raspe, Lucia, |d1965- |ewriter of added textual commentary. 710 2 British Library. |kManuscript. |nAdditional 14762. 830 0 Satellite series ; |vv. 2. 852 0 |bscstacks |hND3380.4.H33 |iH56 2020
