520    This much is known: Rudolf Hess knew Adolf Hitler when they were students, was one of the most important members of the Nazi party in its early years, and was arrested on May 10th, 1941, after parachuting into a Scottish field. Virtually everything else about Hess has been the subject of controversy for over half a century.
