- Summary
- Tells of the Hangman's visit to a small town where its cowardly citizens take no action to stop the Hangman's murders. The town's last remaining man discovers, too late, that humans are responsible beings who must stand together for the common good or suffer the consequences. Alone now, the chief of cowards hears the Hangman say, "I did no more than you let me do."
