- Summary
- Anna Essinger, one of the founders of the boarding school in Herrlingen, Germany, emigrated to England with seventy children and nearly all of the school's teachers in 1933. In Kent, England, she established the New Herrlingen School (Bunce Court) and in 1938 she was asked to coordinate the arrival of 10,000 children sent to England through the "Kindertransport" program.
