Order no. 39 for 1941 of the 5th Labor Battalion states that the men named in rosters for each company would be remunerated at the rate of seven Bulgarian leva per day. There follow name rosters for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Construction Companies, and also a small Technical Company consisting of only four men. Within the construction company rosters, the men are loosely listed according to their home towns. All of the men appear to be Jews, as evidenced by their names.
