Description
The United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) was created at a 44-nation conference at the White House on November 9, 1943. Its mission was to provide economic assistance to European nations after World War II and to repatriate and assist the refugees who would come under Allied control.
This grouping contains documents relating to UNRRA's European Regional Office. The topics covered but the grouping includes, but is not limited to: requests for relief, tracing requests, repatriation efforts, requests for visas, resettlement of Displaced Persons, financial support for refugees, treatment of unaccompanied children, individuals requesting assistance, and efforts to reunite child refugees with their families.
