He describes entering Buchenwald in April 1945; many corpses; taking pictures; the reactions of Eisenhower, Patton, and Bradley; entering barracks and the crematorium; and crying when he saw human ashes. Mr. C. notes he did not discuss this experience when he returned to the United States, but it left him scarred.
