He speaks of his parents, who emigrated to France from Warsaw; his father's arrest and deportation to Auschwitz in 1941; his mother's arrest seven months after his birth; hiding with his grandparents in Parisian suburbs with assistance from French non-Jews; his grandfather's arrest and deportation to Auschwitz; fleeing with his grandmother to Lyon; hiding in a small town near the Swiss border; his grandfather's return after liberation; and emigration with his grandparents to Argentina after they learned his parents had perished in Auschwitz.
