    Transcript
    Hope, faith, and charity march hand
    in hand with these displaced persons in an UNRRA
    camp in upper Austria.
    Hope that their dreams of someday reaching Palestine
    may come true.
    Faith that mankind will solve his problems without recourse
    to another war when it was war that
    tore them loose from their homes and left
    them dependent upon the charity of men
    and women across the sea.
    Their problem is a world's problem.
    There are 1,500 DP's, displaced persons,
    in this camp which is but one of many.
    Eagerly, they scan their bulletin board
    for world news, any letters, any news from Palestine.
    As they wait and wonder, their children
    learn the language of people who are helping them,
    an uncle to us is a godfather to them.

    Universal Newsreel, Vol. 19, No. 539, Part 4. Release date, 09/19/1946.
    According to UN Official Motion Picture Release: "Displaced Persons Camp" Upper Austria. Fifteen hundred refugees of Jewish descent live in this UNRRA sponsored camp at Admont, dreaming of the day when they can go to Palestine. They raise most of the food they eat. Men walk under sign (in Hebrew) with hoes and shovels on shoulders. LS countryside. Beautiful mountains. Young men and women in shorts hoeing. Two women outside washing clothes in tub. Four men walking together. CUs, children in pasture with women playing by fence, bulletin board in BG ("Any news? Any letters? Any word from Palestine?" heard in narration). Class being held outside.
