The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum purchased this from the Bundesarchiv in Berlin, Germany in September 1991. The footage was transferred at Bibo TV in Germany and obtained as research for the Museum's Permanent Exhibition.
Note
Scholar Bernd Boll indicates that these are Wehrmacht uniforms; no indication of Einsatzgruppe involvement. Confirmed by Alexander Prusin 06/09/05.
See photos of Lubny, Ukraine (E. of Kiev) in Wehrmacht exhibit catalog. Appears to be very similar location and population. Einsatzgruppe 4a murdered Jews of Lubny on October 16, 1941.
Note that "Fruehjahr 1941" must be an error, either in Bundesarchiv record or our transcription of information.
