    Description
    Buchenwald Concentration Camp, Germany, April 17, 1945. LHSs, concentration camp area with internees and visitors walking about. MLS, soldiers entering camp area. MSs, picture of Joseph Stalin on camp building. In FG, arms are raised in Communist salute. Head-on-shot, Red Cross trucks with "Switzerland" on bumpers enter camp grounds. MLS, group of young inmates marching from the camp. Many of them wearing the striped prison uniform. MSs, CUs, two former inmates remove bodies from hand truck, place them upon a pile of bodies near building. CU, Pan, dead bodies in a long pile. ECUs, faces of the dead victims. Various CUs, concentration camp victims sitting and standing near buildings. Most are extremely emaciated. One victim begins to cry. Full-screen-view, young former prisoners standing behind wire fence. CU, Pan, deformed legs of young boys. MS, two former prisoners lying in sun near barbed-wire fence. MLS, Pan, barracks area enclosed by barbed-wire fencing. CU sign: "All Poles Greet the Fraternal American Army". Pan to US and Polish flags. MS, several US soldiers look at pile of dead. MS, Pan, expression of horror on the faces of soldiers looking at the dead.
