The second anniversary of the foundation of Légion volontaires française on July 8, 1943. French volunteers lined up in the square in front of a palace. A French flag is raised as a bugle plays. The German and French soldiers (some on horseback) march out of the palace square and down the Ponte Alexander to the Champs Elysses to the tomb of the unknown soldier and lay a wreath. The soldiers and the crowd (including a group of girls in some kind of youth group uniform) give a Hitler salute.
