    Rectangular offwhite paper currency. Face has a graphic design in green ink with a geometric border and a medallion in each corner; within each medallion is the numeric denomination, 5. In the center is an oval portrait of Charlotte, Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. Flanking the portrait are 2 medallions with the numeric denomination. There is a horizontal band across the bottom with LUXEMBOURG, in a banner, repeated over the band. A seal of the Grand-Duche de Luxembourg is located in the left side of this band. The serial number is in red ink in the upper right and left quadrants. The back has a graphic design in red ink with a geometric border with a medallion in each corner; within each medallion is the numeric denomination. The coat of arms of Luxembourg is in the center, flanked by medallions with the numeric denomination. There is text on the top and bottom of the note. There is text in Luxembourgish, French, and English overall.
