"Heinz Praeger: Years into Minutes"
Consists of one manuscript, 14 pages, entitled "Heinz Praeger: Years Into Minutes," written in 1997 by Mick Carlon, a friend of Mr. Praeger. In the manuscript, Mr. Carlon describes Heinz Praeger's childhood in Berlin, memories of antisemitic persecution in the 1930s, his arrest and imprisonment in Dachau after Kristallnacht, and his June 1939 emigration to Shanghai. In Shanghai, Mr. Praeger met and married Phyllis Hoffmann Praeger in 1942 and the family emigrated to the United States in 1947. Mr. Carlon describes Heinz Praeger's life in Shanghai and in New England, where he lived until his death in 1997.
