- Contains memoir, copyrighted 1990, entitled "The Gates of Heaven," detailing the experiences of Marcel Rowen (formerly named Marzel Rauchwerk) in prewar Leipzig (Germany); after his expulsion, along with his father and grandfather, to Poland in October 1938 because they held Polish passports; in Tarnów (Poland) before the German occupation and later in the Tarnów ghetto; in Auschwitz, Sachsenhausen and Dachau concentration camps; in Landsberg Displaced Persons Camp after liberation by the Americans; and after his emigration to the United States; and a cassette recording of a 12-minute presentation he gave on the Holocaust at his synagogue in 1992.
