A Russian woman, born in 1926, discusses her experiences in Kagalnitskaya (Rostov Oblast), Russia before and during WWII; life before the war; the Kolkhoz in Kagalnitskaya; the German occupation; hiding in the cellar with her family when the Germans invaded; the Germans living in local houses and taking food from locals; living with her family in their cellar; the murder of communists; and the murder of her father after he was arrested and accused of being a communist.
