    Interview Summary
    The interviewee, born in 1926 in a village Shakhty in Rostov Oblast, Russia, discusses living all her life in the same village and the same house; life before the war when her parents worked on their own land and her father worked at the stone factory; the relations between all the nationalities in the village, including the Romanies, Russians, Germans, Ukrainians, and Jews; the German occupation of the village; and her husband who was from Kubani, where many houses were destroyed in the battles.
