Description: Contains research materials pertaining to Edith Ruina's research for her manuscript entitled, "The Grupa." "The Grupa" tells the story of a group of Jewish youth from 1939-1945, who fled as a group from Poland through Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and finally to Palestine. The manuscript is based on the writings of Rutka Judenherc Bayuk, one of the youths, and the collection includes oral history interviews, and transcripts, of members of the group.
