    Frank Weinberg discusses his childhood in Norden, Germany; his education; the antisemitism he experienced; his family's move to Hamburg, Germany; the changes he experienced after Kristallnacht in November 1938 which resulted in his family's decision to immigrate to Shanghai, China; the journey to Shanghai in January 1941; his arrival in Shanghai; his experiences in the Hong Kew ghetto, including the work he performed and the conditions there; his family's immigration to the United States after the war ended; and his life in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    The Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project conducted the interview with Frank Weinberg on June 26, 2002. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the tapes of the interview from the Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project in January 2003.
