Oral history interview with Howard Waldman

Howard Waldman, born on February 15, 1905 in Kattowitz, Germany (now Katowice, Poland), discusses his childhood in Kattowitz; his family's moves to Berlin and Dresden; his religious upbringing; his political activism beginning around 1925; his impressions of Hitler and the Nazi Party; the changes that he experienced after 1933; being arrested in 1934 and 1935; his immigration to Palestine; his service with the British Air Force in Egypt beginning in 1940; his arrest in 1945; his move to Colombia in 1949; his return to Germany in 1950; and his move to the United States in 1964.
