    Description
    The papers consist of three letters sent from concentration camps. One letter was sent from Dachau concentration camp by Georg Aarcholski (b. December 11, 1920) to the Generalgouvernement in Poland, December 5, 1943. Two letters were sent from Auschwitz concentration camp by Alexander Hertel (b. December 13, 1912) to "Mutti" in Sosnowitz (Sosnowiec), Poland, February 14, 1943 and April 29, 1943.

    The letters were purchased by Ted Stone from a stamp dealer. The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Ted Stone in 1993.
