Münzer family papers

The papers consist of 13 photographs and five documents relating to the experiences of the Munzer family during World War II. Included in the collection are photographs of Alfred Munzer's brit milah which were kept by his mother, Gitel, when she was deported to Auschwitz; pre-war photographs of the Munzer family in the Netherlands; and Red Cross documentation regarding the fate of his father, Symche, who died shortly after his liberation from Ebensee and sisters, Eva and Liane, who were denounced while in hiding and killed at Auschwitz. Gitel Munzer survived multiple camps, and Alfred survived in hiding in The Hague living with the Madnas, an Indonesian family.
