Description: Contains the trial records of over 150,000 criminal cases processed in the vicinity of Berlin during the Nazi era. It includes many “routine” types of ordinary crime, as well as cases where the crime involves being Jewish, homosexual, or “asocial.”

Conditions on Access: This material can only be accessed in a Museum reading room or other on-campus viewing stations. Users are required to complete and sign a User Declaration in order to gain access to the collection.
Conditions on Use: These files may contain personal, partly intimate information on various persons. If these persons were born less than 90 years ago or died less than ten years ago, their personal data need to be protected. Users are obliged to treat these data confidentially and to refrain from sharing copies they might produce with third parties. If used in publications, personal information is to be anonymized. The copies of published books or articles based on these records should be sent to the State Archive Berlin (Landesarchiv Berlin). No reproduction of microfilms for third parties, or publication of documents without written consent by Landesarchiv Berlin.

Provenance: Source of acquisition is the Landesarchiv Berlin, Record Group A Rep. 358. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archival Programs Division acquired selected records from the Landesarchiv Berlin in 2005. The Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received several shipments of the collection: August 2005, March 2006, November 2008, December 2015, and Aug. 2018. The duplication project is complete.
