    Interview Summary
    Lubov Boyeva, born in 1927 in Kharkov, Ukraine, describes the arrival of German forces in Kharkov in 1941; subversive activity by partisans; the ghetto in Kharkov; convincing a Jewish friend to leave the ghetto; hiding her Jewish friend; conditions in Kharkov during the war; the fate of family members of her Jewish friend; the arrest and deportation of her sister to Germany; and the return of her sister from Germany in 1945.

    This is a witness interview of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Perpetrators, Collaborators, and Witnesses: The Jeff and Toby Herr Testimony Initiative, a multi-year project to record the testimonies of non-Jewish witnesses to the Holocaust. The interview was directed and supervised by Nathan Beyrak. The interview was received by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives Branch in March 2006.
