Overview

Description: Contains photocopies of wartime newspaper clippings from the Milwaukee Sentinel, the Milwaukee Journal, and the Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle. The clippings specifically relate to each newspaper's coverage of Kristallnacht, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the liberation of Lublin-Majdanek, and the Nuremberg war crimes trials. The clippings were used in the 1989 writing of "Press coverage of the Holocaust, 1933-1945 :a comparison of three Milwaukee newspapers", by James Lawrence Sernoe for his masters degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
