- Contains lists, reports, notifications, protocols, minutes, affidavits, certificates, requests, approvals, rejections, appeals, authorizations, powers of attorney, surveys, inventories, police and court records and official correspondence created by the respective offices of mayors; constables; prefects; district notaries; government commissioners; court, police, gendarme, and military officials; municipal finance managements; Jewish communities; Jewish Councils and other authorities of the region of Hungary called Baranya County, affecting the Jewish and Roma population, and regarding the subjects of demography; events of the war and the Holocaust; economy and financial matters; industry and agriculture; military; functioning of police, gendarmerie, court, and other law enforcement agencies; rights and duties of citizens; public health; general issues regarding the population; religious and community issues; presence of the German forces; institutions of public welfare; and labor issues. Those records are now in the custordy of the Baranya County Archives (Baranya Megyei Levʹeltʹar, Pʹecs).

- This material can only be accessed in a Museum reading room or other on-campus viewing stations. No other access restrictions apply to this material.

- Fair use only. The Museum shall safeguard, use, and limit access to the documents containing protected personal data in accordance with the terms of the November 5, 2003 agreement between the Government of United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on the protection of personal data. Personal data of individuals mentioned in the records must not be published sooner than 30 years following the death of the person concerned, or if the year of death is unknown, for 90 years following the birth of the person concerned, or if both dates are unknown, for 60 years following the date of issue of the archival material concerned.
