Kahn family papers

The Kahn family papers document the Kahn family’s experiences in Germany and Switzerland during the Holocaust. The bulk of the collection is letters written to Ruth Kahn in Switzerland from her parents Leo and Elfriede Kahn and her sister Marga Kahn in Sulzburg, Germany and internment camps in southern France at Rivesaltes, Gurs and Les Milles. Other papers include Ruth’s identification papers and documents related to her time in Switzerland, a Kahn family genealogy book, a Hanukkah program, and identification and emigration documents of Hugo and Klara Marx, the parents of Ruth’s future husband Gunther Marx.
