Contains a letter dated 1 May 1945, written by General Patton to be distributed to members of the Third Army, entitled "Burial of Victims of Nazi Atrocities." The letter directs members of the Army as to appropriate and respectful burial methods for victims of Nazi atrocities, and states that "as many...Civilian[s] as practicable will attend [to] the burials unless physically incapable...German males, irrespective of their station in life will be used for this purpose..." The instructions covered disinternment from mass graves and reburial. Also includes two photographs, dated during WWII, of Charles Keller (donor's father) in uniform, one with fellow soldiers in Puerto Rico.
