    Ethel Hersh (née Hollander), born on April 7, 1920 in Beregszász, Czechoslovakia (now Berehove, Ukraine), discusses her pre-war life; the negative impact of the Hungarian occupation post-Munich pact; ghettoization after the Nazi invasion in 1944; being deported to Auschwitz concentration camp; details of selections, tattoos, guards, conditions, and outdoor labor; being transferred to Bergen-Belsen; returning to Czechoslovakia after the war; living in Wasserburg displaced persons camp and Brussels, Belgium because of the difficulty getting an affidavit to immigrate; and immigrating to the United States.
