    Max Metzger, born in 1903 in Gross-Reken (Westfalen), Germany, discusses moving in 1911 to Dorsten, Germany; attending school; becoming a cattle dealer; life in Dorsten under Nazi rule; getting married in 1937 to Helda Norger [PH]; the birth of their daughter; the war; being deported to Riga Ghetto in January 1942; being deported to Liebau labor camp; being imprisoned in Hamburg, Germany; being sent on a forced march to Kiel; being sent to Hassel concentration camp; traveling after the war to Sweden via Denmark; and immigrating the United States.
