    Charlotte Salomon, discusses living in Berlin, Germany; making ladies coats in a factory; having ulcers on her legs; receiving food and news from non-Jewish friends; her husband hiding their son from being picked up; not knowing about concentration camps at the time; the end of the war; the arrival of the Soviet Army; deaths of family members, some by starvation; taking over a butcher shop after the war; receiving letters from her two daughters who went to England via Kindertransports; immigrating to the United States where her daughters joined her in 1949; concentration camp survivors she knew; and food dishes for Rosh Hashanah.
