    Sally Charsinsky (née Kruger), born on September 9, 1923 in Sowina, Poland, discusses prewar antisemitism; how her mother was loved in her village; her family owing non-Jews their lives for hiding them; living in Kołaczyce ghetto for six months in 1941; religious observance; scarcity of food; her family escaping the liquidation of the ghetto; hiding in the woods and around Sowina from 1941 to 1943; living in hiding as a Christian in Nuremberg, Germany from 1943 to 1945; working with a florist; working for the Red Cross in Nuremberg after liberation; and immigrating to the United States in 1947.
